REMEMBRANCE SUNDAY
8th NOVEMBER

Due to the Covid-19 restrictions Remembrance Sunday will look different this year.

Act of Remembrance
Please stand in your doorway or at the end of your driveway in an act of remembrance at 11am on Sunday 8th November and hold a 2minute silence. Members of Porthleven Town Band will be placed throughout Porthleven and play the Last Post, please start your 2minute silence at the end of this, and will mark the close by playing Reveille.

Residents and visitors are welcome to lay private wreaths at the cenotaph on Remembrance Sunday or Wednesday 11th November, please ensure that social distancing / covid-19 guidance is maintained.

There will be Remembrance Services at St Bartholomew’s Church @ 9.30am and the Methodist Chapel @ 11am. Please note that numbers are restricted as social distancing will need to be adhered.

Royal British Legion Poppy Appeal, unfortunately there will be no house to house collections this year. Volunteers will be attending Pengelly’s Supermarket on Saturdays and businesses throughout Porthleven are supporting the cause and will have collection boxes / poppies available.
