Porthleven Town Council are encouraging anyone who is able to help to sign up with Volunteer Cornwall.

Volunteer Cornwall are putting out a call for people to act as “Flu Friends” to support others who have no-one else to turn to. Imagine having to self-isolate when you have no friends or family you can turn to for help and support. No-one to ensure you have basic supplies like milk and bread, no-one to ensure you get your medication, no-one to talk to for 2 weeks!

They are looking for people to come forward to support older and vulnerable residents in their community.
Advice will be given on sensible steps you can take to minimise the risk to yourself whilst helping others. They will provide you with advice, support and a basic induction to help you stay safe.
