I have always had a passion for bringing communities together, especially in the place I call home, I have been part of and led projects such as Porthleven Skate Park as I wanted to give something back to this beautiful place. Soon after moving to Porthleven they were blessed with two children and have taken pleasure watching them grow up in the village, they have gained a love for the sea and all the fun it has to offer!

Cllr. Trevor Toms

Councillor Trevor Toms joined the Council in Sept 2018.

“Originally from Essex, I moved to Helston almost 40 years ago where I met my wife, Kaz. Our children all grew up near Helston but when they left home, Porthleven village life beckoned. We moved here two years ago.
I am currently self-employed, a volunteer warden with Natural England and I am Chairman of the Porthleven Environment Group.
My interests are definitely with the urban and rural environment and how it affects the life of local people and the next generation.
I am a “questioner” and, if feasible, a “fixer”. Skills which may be of benefit to the Council and Porthleven. I feel honoured to have been elected and look forward to serving our community.”
